HOMAGE TO THE TREES

This piece was inspired by the two cedar trees growing next to my house, their large boughs and verdant leaves safeguarding my home. Yet their presence extends beyond my house and my neighborhood–they form a piece in the beautiful, grand mosaic of nature that will outlast humanity. I drew trees that, expanding out of rigid human constructs symbolized through textured squares, radiate a subtle yet boundless force. Depicting this beauty and grandeur of nature, I encourage viewers to appreciate the intersection of our fleeting lives with a timeless force.
