SENSORY FILTRATION

For this piece, I used acrylic on paper. I created a rich, detailed background and a central figure infused with pieces of the background. Through the filtration of color and loss of detail as the background merges with the figure, I convey the reduction of information as it is incorporated into our perception. This piece shows how the quantity of information we perceive pales in comparison to the totality of information present around us.
